6 Weeks & 5 Days until the Creative Minds Retreat

Blessed.

There are no other words that I can use to describe how the last two weeks of applications and interviews have been for Creative Minds.

To reiterate, if you haven’t been here for a while. I’m planning a retreat in August for 25 Creatives in Montana in the Sapphire Mountains (that name sounds so sick, doesn’t it)

It is really, really, really cool to see God working to bring the right people to this retreat.

This is the first year that we’ve done applications, and the amount of talent and interest in this retreat has really shown me a few things.

Firstly, there are a LARGE amount of people who are interested in finding some kind of community.

People are alone. It’s just a fact, and it’s something that needs some kind of solution. Obviously, Creative Minds is just one piece of the puzzle, but there is clearly a need for something more.

Two, you can never ever ever predict the impact that an idea that you have or a video you make can have on the lives of others.

I recently had an interview with one of the creative minds atendees and and she told me that one of the videos that I had made when I first started doing content was the reason she even decided to pick up a camera.

That is so wild to me.

Remember, I live in a box.

I don’t see you guys ever. It’s only when you guys comment (which is what I care about the most, please, I love hearing from you) that I can understand that there are real people who can benefit from the work that I put out.

That and scrolling through the people who see my Instagram stories. I really don’t know any of you guys, haha.

Lastly, and this one is pretty crazy to me since I thought maybe this would be the last Creative Minds.

I think we’re going to need to keep hosting retreats. It’s extremely apparent that there is a need for this. If people don’t step up to provide a solution, then this problem really will never get fixed.

That being said. The next goal is to find 1 sponsor that really aligns with our goals and get them on board in the next 6 weeks.
